Name: Kalila (Kal) Tanaka Age: 16 Gender: Female Main Form: Human. Can Shape shift into an Eagle, Tiger and Wolf. Alliance: Chaotic Good
Appearance: Kal was born a human, and so it is her main form, the one she got the most used to before she got proper control over her powers. She’s tall with a natural red-tint in her hair. Her pale skin contrasts with her dark brown eyes, which is the feature she likes best in herself, with a hint of loyalty in them. Her willowy frame comes from having 2 parents who really like their feline form. Kal’s first shift was into a wolf, mostly grey with bits of white, especially around the muzzle, with a good glow. She retains the emotion in her eyes, despite their shape changing slightly to better fit the form. The next shift Rai did was an eagle, something which she’d never shown her parents. She has an average wingspan and her brown plumage has a healthy shine to it. Her head had the same brown colour, and all over she’s flecked with a slightly darker, almost black brown. In this form her eyes are proud and strong, but also with n echo of the same loyalty in the rest. Rai’s final form is the tiger, which looks just like any tiger. The sheen on her coat highlights the sunset orange and the midnight black stripes on her fur. The eyes though, look slightly sad on this one of her forms, like it wasn’t meant to be, baring the resonating force which caused it to light. Personality: Kal is shy around people, not really knowing how to react with them, though she has a strong sense of loyalty when it comes to her friends, of whom are currently all wolves. Her wolfish grin echoes her true nature, she loves being with people, though she lacks an understanding of them. Kal loves to laugh and make others do so, even though she’s not particularly good at it. She always promises herself to get in contact with humans again, or to work on her humour. She is forever promising herself, but is too scared to do so, too scared that everyone is the same as her parents. Despite her history, Kal has compassion, empathy and kindness which she uses to help people whenever she can.
Weapon(s): Kal simply uses her talons, claws or teeth. She feels defenceless as a human and wishes to learn unarmed combat and how to use a sword, that way she may defend herself against people.
Armor: Nothing. Rai’s never really thought about it, and never really particularly needed it . Any swipes she got from her parents wouldn’t be protected by armour.
Abilities: - Ability to morph
History: Kalila was born to two shape-shifters who took a feline form, her mother was called Leopard and her father, Panther. Animals didn’t generally judge on names, but humans did, so they didn’t give their daughter an animal name. This did, however, make her confused as to what shape she should take. Her friends took all sorts, usually relating to their families shape, though Kal never understood this. She didn’t empathise with Felines. Others didn’t shift at all, but some of her friends took on whatever form they wanted and their family accepted it. So when Kal finally did shape-shift consciously (Any others were during the night when she was asleep so no-one noticed), it was into a wolf. That was when the abuse started. Panther and Leopard said that Wolves had no place in the family and that she could no longer go to visit the Pride along with her parents, which Kal did enjoy, despite her feelings. She was ignored unless she did something her parents didn’t approve of, and they hit her or clawed her or bit her. It was painful. These were her parents, she couldn’t fight back! They hit her whenever they felt like it even if she had done something good, it was never good enough, so she got a beating for that as well. Kal had had enough. Her friends could be accepted for themselves, but she couldn’t. She’d have to become a feline somehow. She practiced whenever she could, but only managed her wolf form. Until she was 9, she succeeded in being an eagle then. She loved the freedom she got at flying, but knew her parents would never approve. “A. Eagle is a noble bird of Prey,” they’d say “But a bird nonetheless and birds are prey. Maybe not that type, but still,” then she’d get hit for not managing a cat. She couldn’t let them know ever. So still she continued to practice, desperately wanting to be accepted and for the beatings to end. When she turned 11 she finally succeeded. A Tiger. She stared her herself none-stop in a pool of water for the best part of an hour before she dared believe it. Then, without shifting, She sauntered home. Her parents stared at her before purring and butting her with their heads. She loved it. It felt a little false, a little wrong, she didn’t know it, but she’d get used to it. But the beatings didn’t end. They grew less frequent it was true, but a feline shape didn’t mean that her first one wasn’t a wolf. They called her a ‘Dirty wolf’ when they were alone, after all, a few others in the communities could turn into a wolf. Then, when Kal was 13, her parents died. They’d been out with the pride and trapped in a fire, they’d burned to death. Kal’s family had never really been popular, and all the practice meant she’d lost her friends. She couldn’t bear to live there anymore, so she wandered. She wandered until she found a pack of wolves. They accepted her and they became her back, and for once she was truly happy. The only beatings she got were in play fights and she was accepted for herself. They didn’t care about her other forms. She rarely used them. She was either human or wolf, occasionally an Eagle. She’d only turned into a tiger twice since her parent’s death. She still had respect for felines, but the sense that she didn’t belong. Kal’s best friend was a male wolf called Moonshine, because his coat was black with white flecks like stars, and around his left eye was a white patch like the moon. He was unique. They’d all said that they wouldn’t hate her if she ever went back to live with humans, but it was only Moonshine who said he’d go with her. They’d become an equivalent of best friends in wolf terms. She lived with little human contact for the next 3 years of her life, living with wolves, just keeping enough contact to remember what humans were like.
